Dell R710 - Using the SAS Backplane in combination with Sata
The Premise:
After buying a used Dell R710 with the 8x2.5" SAS Backplane and H700 Raid Card to run TrueNas Core and ZFS on it, some question emerged:
- Does the H700 support drive passthrough aka. NO-RAID?
- If not, can the SAS Backplane be used with Sata to SFF-8087 Cables?
